12/21/21 - The Powerlines have been mowed to make the perfect sledding hill!
Anyone who grew up in Harbors of Newport in the 90’s will remember the Power Lines being the neighborhood sledding hill. With help from our landscaper, we now have two 10ft wide paths for sledding!
our hopes is that the left side will be for The younger crowd, and the right side will be for the more adventurous sledder.
Now we just need to hope for snow! ❄️

6/3/21 - Neighborhood Yard Sale To Be Rescheduled
Due to a scheduling miscommunication, our Neighborhood Yard Sale will be Rescheduled for a later date.
We will be sure to announce the new date both on the website and the Facebook page.
This site was built with the idea of bringing our community together and keeping our neighborhood up to date.
The Newport Homes Association welcomes your interest to be a part of our community! We are governed by a Homeowner’s Association which requires certain rules and regulations in our community (attached). We encourage you to read them and below are some of the common points. Please note that there are other regulations in the guidelines, covenants, etc., however, these are some highlights:
*NO LIVE TREES 19” OR MORE IN CIRCUMFERENCE (AS MEASURED TWO FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL SHALL BE REMOVED WITHOUT ACC APPROVAL. (FORM ATTACHED TO ACC GUILDELINES) NO APPROVAL NEEDED IF TREE IS DEAD OR DYING.
*NO BOATS, TRAILERS, COMMERCIAL VEHICLES CAN BE IN PUBLIC VIEW. AN ORDINANCE HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE HOA THAT BOATS, CAMPERS, TRAILERS, RV’SCANNOT BE ON PUBLIC STREETS WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY.
*NO ABOVE THE GROUND POOLS—NO EXCEPTIONS. ALL INGROUND POOLS REQUIRE THE APPROVAL OF THE ACC COMMITTEE.
*GARBAGE CANS MUST BE STORED OUT OF PUBLIC VIEW EXCEPT FOR PICKUP DAYS.
*ALL FENCES/SHEDS, PATIOS AND DECKS REQUIRE HOA APPROVAL.
*ALL EXTERIOR ALTERATIONS TO INCLUDECOLOR CHANGE OF SHUTTERS, SIDING OR ANYTHING THAT WILL ALTER THE EXTERIOR OF YOUR HOME MUST HAVE HOA APPROVAL.
*ALL LAWNS MUST BE MAINTAINED ON A REGULAR BASIS TO INCLUDE MOWING, TRIMMING, LEAF REMOVAL, ETC.
*NO WINDOW AIR CONDITIONERS ALLOWED.
*ALL MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS, ETC. MUST BE STORED OUT OF PUBLIC VIEW
DUES
Homeowner’s dues are billed in January of each year and due by March 1st. If not paid by the deadline, your account will be turned over to our attorney for collection, with added fees. No credit cards, debit cards are accepted and payments must be made to Newport Homes, Association P.O. Box 153, Woodbridge, VA 22194 (address is on invoice).
SNOW PLOWING
Just a reminder that the streets in Harbors of Newport are owned by the state of Virginia, therefore, we are not responsible for snow plowing. If you have an issue, please contact 1800-367-7623.
VEHICLES ON PUBLIC STREETS WITH NO TAGS, FLAT TIRES, ETC.
The streets of Harbors of Newport are owned by the state of Virginia, therefore, if any vehicles are identified with the above violations, please contact the non-emergency police at (703) 792-6500. The above violations are prohibited by the Association in driveways.
